Third Stay

This is definitely my ‘go to’ accommodation choice when staying in Killarney. We were 4 women and booked 2 rooms here. Because of the very small number of rooms, you must book early. We were staying for 3 nights at the beginning of the week and the outside noise was definitely not an issue. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The bathroom is a typical size and lots of hot water. But the 2 reasons I keep returning to this spot are it’s perfect location in the centre of town and the lovely breakfast provided by Sheila. When we had an early train on our last day, Sheila even provided a takeaway breakfast for us. This stay coincided with the Killarney Races and Dan’s was sponsoring a race on the evening of our arrival. They invited us along with their group. It really topped off our stay to feel included in the festivities. Will be returning to Dan’s in the future.

Perfect

We are just back from a our stay in Killarney and are so happy we found this little gem. The rooms were beautiful and modern with everything you need, tea & coffee facilities, a nice flat screen tv with plenty channels, including sky sports, which was a lovely surprise. Breakfast was amazing, the breakfast room is set out lovely and it’s a real cozy room. The lovely lady cooking breakfast was very friendly and chatted away with us, a big plus in my book. Food itself was top quality and fresh, I come from a big chefing back round and could honestly not fault it, we will definitely be back, thanks to all at Dan Linehans

Great location and Great Staff

I stayed at this B&B September 2019 and have not forgotten this little gem. The staff was very nice and friendly. The room was clean and the bathroom shower was nicer than some other locations. We had the breakfast and it was perfectly set up in a dining area. On our second day, we slept in and since we missed the meal time, they were nice enough to save our meal and bring it to our room! We appreciated the hospitality very much! The location was perfect; we were able to walk easily to anywhere we needed. When we visited, we did not have any noise issues. The pub downstairs was convenient and laid back.

Great Place!

This was a great place to stay. Centrally located, and an easy walk to anywhere in town. There is a parking lot across the street that is free from 6 pm to 8:30 am. Its €1 per hr. during the day. Three of us had plenty of room. Great beds, pillows, and breakfast. I would stay here again.

Perfect place to stay

Absolutely a favourite place in Ireland. Super-friendly staff, warm and very cozy atmosphere. The room was good, the place is situated comfortably, close either to city center or to bus and train stations.
The attitude was really warm and welcoming. I'd really recommend to stay there and will stay there if ever come back.
Breakfasts... Oh those breakfasts. After it you will feel that you just visited your granny. You really have food to choose from and there's really a lot. Definitely what a tourist need before a day of hike.
Also, the first floor of the building is a pub which is really convenient in case you want to have a true irish pub experience. And your bed is just a few steps to make, which may be very convenient :)

Lovely B&B - Great Location

We stayed here recently after taking part in the Run Killarney 10k. When we arrived at the B&B we were met by a really friendly barman. Our room wasn't fully ready as we arrived early, the barman stored our bags if we wanted to pop out and come back, however, we opted to have a drink in the pub downstairs, which was probably one of the best and nicest pints of Heineken I've ever had. After 30 mins our room was ready. The room and bathroom were very nice, decorated in a very clean, modern, stylish way. The room had all of the usual facilities, towels, extra blanket, hair dryer, tea/coffee facilities and ear plugs. The bed (incl the duvet & pillows) in the room were exceptional comfortable and I had a great sleep! Another big positive was the shower, the water pressure was fantastic, it was clean and spacious with lovely big towels. The breakfast was amazing and was a real traditional home cooked breakfast. Again we met a lovely lady who was serving breakfast, she stopped and chatted to us for a few minutes. There is a real homely feel about the place.
The property itself is located in a very central location and there was ample car parking in the public car park across the road at a very reasonable rate (1 euro an hour, free after 6pm and all day on Sundays). I also felt the property was secure with keys and a buzzer system for the doors. Due to the property being so central, there might be some issues with noise from the street below, now this wasn't an issue for us and ear plugs are provided. Overall the property was very good, excellent location, great price and great facilities and lovely staff!

Great breakfast!

I thought the accommodation would be noisy, because of the pub downstairs, but it wasn't and I slept fine. The breakfast choices were wonderful and the food was really tasty. It was my first time staying above a pub and I will try to find more pubs to stay in when I travel to Ireland again. After a few too many pints there's nothing like crawling upstairs to sleep it off!

Ideal B&B in Killarney

Dan Linehan's is based in the centre of Killarney town. There is parking across the road, Which is free up until 11am. Check in was a very easy process and staff friendly. The B&B is located above the Bar. Our Room was ideal, Extremely clean throughout, Comfy beds, Decor was lovely and exactly how it is presented whilst booking online. Bathroom was newly refurbished. There is plenty of food options on the same street, A nice little bar down stairs and close to all the night life. Only a few minutes’ drive from all the scenic hotspots that Killarney/Kerry has to offer. On check in they ask what type of breakfast you would like and arrange a time. Unfortunately we checked out before we could have breakfast but the full Irish was offered to us. Great value for money and we most definitely will return.

Nice Location and Value

Dan Linehan's B&B was in a great location. Parking available across the street (free at night and Sunday's). The breakfast was fabulous, rooms very very clean, and the shower was great! It can be a little noisy for a light sleeper but they provide earplugs and it is because of its nice location. I felt it was worth it to be that close to shops and pubs. The nice women cooking the breakfast was kind enough to help us find some great views and give us directions.

So Comfortable

Myself and a friend stayed on a Saturday and Sunday night. Very short walk from the train station which was great. Very nice staff in the bar and the B&B. The lady who was serving breakfast done a superb job and was so polite. The B&B is very modern, clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable with an extra pillow in the room, clean sheets, hair dryer, TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a spare blanket. Saturday night was very loud outside, as there are bars and nightclubs very close, so it's expected. The B&B provide ear plugs which was a nice touch! In terms of the en-suite, very nice and looks recently decorated/tiled. The shower was superb, hot and very powerful!! I would definitely come here again and would recommend the pub and B&B I would also recommend staying in Killarney as it's lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

Best B&B of our Ireland trip

We visited Killarney for two nights, the best two nights of our trip. We wish we would have stayed longer. The B&B was clean, beds were comfy, the shower was amazing (especially compared to our other stays) and perfectly situated to get around the city. The parking lot is across the street with free overnight parking which is a huge plus. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly. I loved having a pint at the end of our day just below where we were staying. Can't wait to visit again and explore more around this part of Ireland.

The Perfect Place to Stay in Killarney

This place is much more than a B&B. The rooms are more like a Boutique Hotel. Clean comfortable, crisp sheets, a modern bathroom and power shower. The breakfasts were amazing, just right to set you up for the day. While the rooms are modern and clean, Dan Linehan's bar downstairs has kept its traditional charm. The staff were lovely warm and friendly and couldn't do enough to help us. They even carried all of our bags to the taxi for us. The location couldn't be better. It's right in the heart of Killarney so that you can walk anywhere and worry about taxi’s. The perfect place to stay in Kerry.

Modern, Warm, High Standard ....

I stayed here for my 40th birthday weekend with a small group of friends and I can honestly say it was perfect. The owner Siobhan couldn't do enough for us. She provided us with all the info we needed Sheila the chef made us gorgeous breakfasts to order. The rooms were of a boutique style and it felt more than a B&B! The B&B is in the town centre and shops, sights, restaurants are a step way. As for getting a pint its just downstairs. If your looking for a home from home, Dans is your place!

Fantastic B&B

I loved everything about this B&B. We booked a triple room. It was surprisingly spacious. We checked in with a lovely barman who was very helpful from the word go. The breakfast was fantastic and set us up for the day as we were travelling to Ballybunion. Although there was a pub beneath us we could not hear a sound late at night. It was perfectly situated close to bars and resturaunts. This is very centrally located and an ideal base to explore Killarney. Loved staying here and I will definitely be returning and would highly reccommend. Well done Dan Linehans cant wait to stay with ye again in the very near future :)

So Impressed!

We stayed at Dan Linehan's Bar and B&B while we were participating in Ring of Kerry cycle 2014. I can safely say that it was the highlight of our weekend.
There was such a festive atmosphere and great craic in the bar. Siobhan ensured everyone was prepped and revved for the cycle and then rewarded our achievements with a cycle through the bar and free pints - epic!! Hannah had a delicious Irish stew waiting for everyone after the cycle and topped it of with the most memorable bowl of sticky toffee pudding, custard and cream ever. Great comfy beds and hot power showers provided in the BnB too. We simply couldn't have asked for more.
It was great to see such a successful business being run by two truly wonderful ladies. It was our pleasure to stay at Dan Linehan's. We'll be back!!

My sister and I stayed here and it was the perfect start to our Ireland trip. The people were great, the rooms, were clean, the breakfast was huge(!) and the location was right in the heart of town. The price was great too!

I was concerned there might be noise from the pub below but, as other reviewers have said, it was very quiet.

The location is fantastic and the locals in Killarney were the best. I really enjoyed talking with them and learning more about the country and their community. I would definitely like to spend more time here on a future trip.
